              Happiness Stays Together

--A touching short fiction novel--
--how deep will it stir your emmotions--

Alfred James and Fannie May Long were destined to live together since childhood, maybe even before that...we'll have to ask God.
Alfred had been coached all along to pursue his happiness and prosperity, Fannie May, on the other hand, had been taught to give up her dreams if necessary, to fit properly into society, sort of a womanly duty of the time. Over the years, Alfred and Fannie May did their best to predict an uncertian and sometimes very diverse future. What follows is a touching story of an elderly couple that married and stayed in love for six decades...

While rocking and relaxing on the front porch of their small cabin in the valley watching the sunset, Alfred and Fannie May recall parts of both their happy and tragic past. Almost seventy years old now, but their minds would return them to the first time they saw each other as kids, in 1939. For them, time has gone by too quickly. They wanted to stay together forever…But could they? Would the love they had for each other and for life itself help keep them and their friends that they bonded with so tightly stay together forever? With his father deceased, how will Alfred’s mother react when he comes of age to be drafted in the Korea conflict era when she understands why the army won’t draft certain people for certain reasons? Why does Fannie May’s mother constantly stress the point for her to give up her dreams and happiness and any other thing if necessary just to fit properly into society. The ghostly voices that Alfred kept hearing coming from the valley…What do they want…What did they come for…Will love conquer all…?

Time has passed to quickly for Alfred and Fannie May--but could they live it over----maybe not in this life----

Happiness Stays Together is a good-clean story for both young and old alike.
